Why the form asks about length and slides

An RV inspection is priced by the work in it. Every slide-out is another seal and another floor to check. A generator is another engine. A diesel pusher has a chassis that a trailer does not. Telling us up front means the price we quote is the price you pay. You can read more about what an RV pre-purchase inspection costs, or see the full RV pre-purchase inspection service. Want to see what gets checked? The RV inspection form is the checklist our inspectors fill in, item by item.

Common questions
How much does an RV pre-purchase inspection cost?
It depends on the type, length and systems, so we quote RVs on the call. Across the country most RV inspections run $300 to $1,500. Our post on RV inspection costs breaks down what moves the price.
Do I have to pay when I send the form?
No. Nothing is charged when you send it. We call you back with a price and a time, and nothing happens until you say yes.
Where do I find the VIN on an RV?
On a motorhome it is usually on the dash at the base of the windshield and on the driver door frame. On a travel trailer or fifth wheel it is usually on a sticker on the front left of the trailer and stamped on the frame near the hitch. If you cannot find it, leave it blank and we will get it from the seller.
Can you inspect an RV in another state?
Yes. We cover all 50 states, so you can buy from across the country without flying out to see it.
What should the seller have ready?
Shore power hooked up, propane in the tanks, water in the fresh tank and room to run the slides out. A motorhome should start from cold, so ask the seller not to run it before we get there.
