  • 122 point check, OBD scan and photos included

  • Diesel, RV, marine and heavy equipment quoted
What the $225 Covers
  • The full 122 point inspection, the same one on every vehicle

  • Photographs of anything worth seeing, not just a checklist
  • A written report you keep, whether you buy the vehicle or walk
  • A plain answer about whether it is worth the asking price
Price by Vehicle

Most vehicles are the flat price. The ones below it are quoted because the work is genuinely bigger, and we would rather give you a real number on the phone than a range that means nothing.

Why One Flat Price

Inspection pricing is usually vague on purpose. You call, you get a range, and the number firms up once somebody is already standing at the car. We would rather publish it.

So $225 is what it costs, and it is the same in Los Angeles, Atlanta or a small town three hours from either. The price does not move because the vehicle turned out to be further away than it looked, and it does not move because we found something. Finding things is the job.

Advanced Tests

Advanced tests that mean taking parts off the car, like a compression, leak down or combustion leak test, cost extra. We only run them after you say yes. If the scan or the road test points at something deeper, we tell you what the next test would show and let you decide.

What It Saves You

A used vehicle is one of the few things people buy for thousands without anyone qualified looking at it first. $225 against that is small. One transmission that was slipping on the test drive, one accident repair hidden under fresh paint, one diesel with a scan full of stored codes, and the inspection has paid for itself several times over.

The report is also the strongest thing you can take into a price negotiation. A list of faults with photographs and repair costs is much harder for a seller to argue with than a feeling that something is off.

Common Questions About Price
How much does a pre purchase inspection cost?
A pre purchase inspection costs $225 for most cars, pickups and SUVs. That is a flat price. It covers the full 122 point inspection, the OBD scan, the photographs and the written report, and it does not change once we are at the vehicle.
Is the price different in my state?
No. It is $225 in all 50 states we cover. We do not charge more because a city is busy or a seller is far from the freeway.
Do you charge a travel fee?
Not inside a metro we already cover. If the vehicle sits well outside one we will tell you the added cost on the call, before you book anything.
Why is a diesel or an RV quoted instead of priced?
Because the work is genuinely bigger and we would rather quote it than pretend it is the same job. A diesel pickup has more systems to scan. An RV has a whole second set of house systems on top of the chassis. Tell us the vehicle and you get a real number on the call.
When do I pay?
After the inspection is booked and before the report is released. There is no deposit to get a quote and no charge for the call.
What if the seller will not let you inspect it?
Then there is nothing to pay. We only charge for an inspection we actually carried out. A seller refusing an inspection is also the most useful thing you will learn that day.
Is it worth it on a cheap car?
A $225 inspection against a used car is the cheapest part of the purchase. One seized caliper, one bad transmission or one hidden accident repair costs more than the inspection many times over.
Do I get the report even if I walk away?
Yes. The report is yours. Plenty of people use it to negotiate the price down instead of walking, and it pays for itself either way.
Can I buy more than one inspection?
Yes, and people shopping several cars often do. Each vehicle is priced on its own. Tell us how many you are looking at and we will work out the schedule.
What pre purchase inspection tests cost extra?
Tests that mean taking parts off the car cost extra. Examples are a compression test, a leak down test and a combustion leak test. We only run them after you say yes. If the scan or the road test points to something deeper, we tell you what the next test would show and you decide.
