Who Stands Behind PPI Auto

PPI Auto is part of Supercanic. Supercanic is an auto repair shop with mobile mechanics. Its home shop is in San Jacinto, California. The legal business name is Supercanic LLC.

Alaina Limpert and Anthony Limpert built Supercanic from scratch. Alaina owns the shop. Anthony is the lead technician and an ASE Master Automobile Technician. He leads the technicians and sets how we inspect a car.

Supercanic is registered with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair, and it is insured.

Who Goes to the Car

We cover all 50 states, so the car is often far from our shop. We only send ASE certified technicians who are licensed with the state. Each one works from the same 122 point form.

ASE Master is a higher level than ASE certified. That is Anthony's title. The Bureau of Automotive Repair registration belongs to Supercanic, our shop in California.

The 122 Point Inspection

A standard inspection covers 122 points, a full OBD-II scan and a road test. The points fall into these groups.

  • Engine, Transmission and Drive Axle. Leaks, noises, mounts, fluids and how it shifts.
  • Brakes, Suspension and Tires. Pad and rotor wear, tread depth, shocks and ball joints.
  • Paint, Body and Glass. Repaint, filler, panel gaps, rust and chips.
  • Electrical and Cooling. Battery, charging, lights, radiator, hoses and fans.
  • Air Conditioning, Interior and Trunk. Every switch, seat, belt and warning light.
  • Scan Tool and Road Test. Every module scanned for codes, then a real drive.

Every Inspection Is a Shop Desk Job

Each inspection runs as a job in Shop Desk, the shop software built inside the Supercanic shop. The photos, the findings and the report all live in one record. So the inspector, our office and you all look at the same thing.

We Work for the Buyer

We do not sell cars. The seller and the dealer do not pay us. You pay us, so the report says what we found, good or bad. Then you buy, bargain or walk away.

What It Costs

$225 for most cars, pickups and SUVs, anywhere in the 50 states. Diesel, RV, marine and heavy equipment are quoted on the call. Advanced tests that mean taking parts off the car, like a compression, leak down or combustion leak test, cost extra. We only run them after you say yes. See what a pre purchase inspection costs.

Where We Inspect

All 50 states. Dealer lot, private seller or auction. You do not need to be there. See how a pre purchase inspection works or find your city.
